Here’s my story!

Born in Liberia, West Africa, I made my journey to the United States more than 20 years ago.  Life was challenging for me because of all of the adjustments of adapting to a new culture.

That didn’t stop me though.  Why?  Because I was very clear about success and remained very focused.

I knew I wanted to get an education. I went to school and earned my degree in Family Life Education from Spring Arbor College in Spring Arbor, Michigan.  I earned a Masters degree in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary in Southfield, Michigan.

I knew I wanted to be an intelligent and credible professional woman so I became a Certified Professional Coach trained at the International Coaching Institute. Professionals who emulated what I wanted to be were important for me to know and connect with.  I sought out those savvy women and men to ask questions and continually strengthen myself.  Learning became a way of life for me.  I continue this practice today by immersing myself in experiences that always teach me like books, seminars and courses.

It wasn’t easy.

By sheer determination and focus, I understood it was better for me to pursue my goals rather than just stand still.  As a modern-day woman, I knew I had to learn strategies and techniques to achieve success in a new community.

I believe that when we as women desire positive change in our lives, we come to know and value our perceptions and use those perceptions to become the instruments of change.  Your path though challenging must be paved with skills to help you gain awareness and value your perceptions about life and your expertise on a deeper level.

My passion for working with women comes from the core of my being.

These experiences manifested into Perception Matters – a professional coaching business I founded in 2008.  As an international life coach, motivational speaker and teacher, my coaching focuses on working with the modern-day professional woman to adopt a life-changing strategy so you can:

• Develop decision making skills and stand powerfully in your choices
• Learn effective communication tools to convey your knowledge with clarity
• Relate to anyone in any setting with confidence and credibility.
